The Company
Founded in Bad Homburg in 1923 and taken over by 3C-Carbon-Group AG in 2015, the major German brand HOREX is enjoying a renaissance in Landsberg am Lech as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. Just as it was during its heyday with the ‘Regina’ in the 1950s, riding a HOREX is once again something special. Design, technology, quality, riding pleasure – that's what a HOREX stands for, both then and now.
With the takeover of the brand, 3C-Carbon-Group AG also revived the tradition of ‘Landsberg, the motorcycle town’. Alois Wolfmüller and Heinrich Hildebrand built the first ever series-production motorcycle with a combustion engine in the historic town centre in 1893. Wolfmüller even coined the word ‘Motorrad’ (motorcycle) and had it patented.
In 2015, another spectacular motorcycle was manufactured in Landsberg. After a fundamental and extensive overhaul of an existing motorcycle, HOREX first presented the new VR6 as an exclusive Silver Edition, followed by the equally impressive Black Edition. The two limited special series were then transferred to series production in 2016 as the HOREX VR6 Classic and HOREX VR6 Café Racer.
HOREX machines are the most exclusive motorcycles in current series production. Their exceptional status is defined by a unique combination of high-tech attributes, exclusive materials and manufacturing processes supported by craftsmanship. Highly personalised and individually configured – every HOREX is a real treasure for its proud owner.
