The new HOREX – Clean lines in a bold design

It respects the tradition of the HOREX brand and has   the courage to focus on its heart – the VR6 engine. The new HOREX design features clean lines, top-quality and unique, carefully crafted details. The HOREX Roadster is stylistically based on classic motorcycle icons with a modern interpretation in an independent, self-assured design language

Like so many aspects of the new HOREX project, it took some time to develop the unique styling of the bike presented in Munich on June 15, 2010. HOREX designer Peter Naumann, a freelance industrial designer and professor of design at the University of Munich, explains: "We initially focused on the historical HOREX models. We went to club get-togethers, visited motorcycle museums, and took a close-up look at the HOREX Regina, Imperator and other models. Then we traced the form of the old models to capture their spirit.“

The design team reawakened the aesthetic qualities of classic motorcycle icons in the new HOREX. This was achieved with traditional colors, including silver, anthracite, flat black, red and saddle brown, high-quality materials, refined surfaces and the absolute avoidance of unessential plastic parts. Marque-specific details complement the visual appearance of the new HOREX with a prominent logo on the tank, lettering on the side covers, and a V symbolizing the cylinder configuration on the engine. The design transforms the new HOREX concept into a unique, sensory experience.
